Two variants of my first norse design attempt

These are my first steps in the thing I call norse design. I really want to try different thing with these wanderfull pictures. This particular is from Coupar-Angus Psalter, found in Scotland. I didn't use the original colors, because I have only a black and white picture, but I figured some of my own.
